Little Brown Girl by Aisha Shawqi

The CAN Community Group's own Aisha Shawqi has published a book entitled "Little Brown Girl". Little Brown Girl is a book for little brown girls of all ages to enjoy. This book was written to boost every brown girls confidence and make them feel beautiful. Aisha has shared the following dedication from her book:

"To my lovely daughters Skylar and Luna and every little brown girl in the world. I hope this book makes you very proud and bring you lots of joy. I am so excited to see my book in your little tiny hands. Take your time read it enjoy it and share it with others. To all the little brown girls reading this book you’re amazing and you’re beautiful and you are fierce never ever forget that and I love you."

Aisha Shawqi is a twenty three year old wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Aisha is a certified nurse aide working in a pediatric hospital in Philadelphia. She enjoys helping mothers in need and providing them with various resources. Aisha also comes from a very big family and enjoys being around them. She attended Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls class of 2015 and graduated Gesu Catholic School 2011. Aisha's inspiration came from her own two beautiful brown girls.
